Cedreo creates default floor plans for your project. You can add and customize them.
Add a floor plan
1. Access the 'Folder' step.
2. Click on the 'Add a floor plan' box.
3. Enter a floor plan name and select the level for which you want to create a floor plan.
4. Edit the floor plan information
(See 'Basic Options' in Edit a Floor Plan)
5. Return to the plans page.
Edit a floor plan
If you want to modify the information displayed on a floor plan, you can do so at any time. To do this, click on the thumbnail representing the plan you want to edit and make updates from the following three entry points:
- Basic options
These options are accessible from the 'Plan' tab in the right-hand panel.
|
- Add Symbols
Similarly to the 'Plan details' step, you have the option to add symbols to your floor plans.
1. Search for the desired symbol, either through the search bar or in the various catalogs provided.
2. Select the thumbnail representing the desired symbol.
3. With a left click of the mouse, click on the location on the floor plan where you want to place your symbol (you can move it by holding down the left click on the symbol).
4. In the right column, you can (in the first tab) resize/rotate the symbol or (in the second tab) change its color.
💡 From the right column, you can apply a 'mirror effect' to your symbols to modify their axes of symmetry
(This will be useful for stairs, for example).
⚠️ Symbols added in the "Plans details" step cannot be modified in the "Folder" step.
(A message under the symbol will inform you of this)
- Add Text and Shapes
You have the ability to add and configure text as well as lines, arrows and rectangle directly on the plan using the 'Text' and 'Shapes' tools:
- Add and edit dimensions
You can add manual drawing or wall-to-wall dimensions to your plans. Additionally, you have the option to edit default dimensions. To do this, you can use the 'Dimensions' tool.
To edit a default dimension, simply click on it and modify its settings from the options on the right:
Adding wall-to-wall dimensions is facilitated by a guide where you must select the starting and ending points of the dimensions to be added along a vertical or horizontal axis:
The 'Manual drawing dimension' feature, on the other hand, allows you to add a dimension without necessarily having a reference element:
Delete a floor plan
1. From the 'Folder' step, hover the mouse pointer over the plan you want to delete.
2. A red icon representing a trash can appears.
3. Click on it and confirm the deletion.
