Create the basement entrance
1. Go to the 'Layout' step
2. First, draw a room of about 25 square feet that will correspond to the entrance of the basement.
3. Click on the room and go to the settings on the right-hand pannel.
4. In the right hand panel : uncheck 'Baseboard', 'Ground' and 'Ceiling'.
Create the basement
1. Click on the menu 'Level' then 'Add a basement'.
2. Click on the assistant to duplicate the walls.
3. Close the room corresponding to the basement access with a hidden wall.
4. If necessary, you can reduce the height of the basement in the right-hand panel
Create the slope of the cellar door
1. Go to the ground floor level and head to the 'Roof' step
2. Select the 'Single-slope roof' tool.
3. Only cover the exterior walls of the room using the 1 click = 1 turn method.
4. Select the edge of the roof facing outwards, the one that corresponds to the lowest edge of the basement.
5. Reduce the slope and height of your 'roof' as desired.
❗ You may need to change the direction of the slope
Decorate the cellar door
1. Next, go to the 'Furnishing' step and select a staircase.
2. Adjust the dimensions of the staircase to fit the space.

4. Go to the 'Building' section, sub-section 'Shutter', and choose the one that suits you.
5. Adjust the dimensions of the shutter to fit your descent.
💡 Uncheck the collision tool to position the shutters with more ease
6. Position the shutter according to your preference using advanced rotation.
7. You can either keep the shutter open or close
